About KICKS

Southern Utah Soccer Association is dedicated to providing a FUN, yet challenging and supportive soccer environment for children in the Southern Utah region. Each child is challenged at a level appropriate for his or her stage of development. Southern Utah Soccer Association is professionally managed but relies on the support of volunteers to keep its cost low and its value high. Southern Utah Soccer Association prides itself in offering the most enjoyable and rewarding soccer experience for our players, coaches and families in the Southern Utah Area. Teams will be formed by age and location in which players live. Kids will play with their friends and neighbors. "KICKS" follows the guidelines for recreation soccer set by Utah Youth Soccer Association and US Youth Soccer. "KICKS" operates under the simple belief that kids learn by playing. Every child plays virtually 100% of the time in practices and at least 50% in games. The Southern Utah Soccer Association is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate and fun-filled environment.

Kicks Soccer ... Southern Utah's developmental recreation soccer program

  • $65 per player, uniform included.
  • Games will be played at Dixie State College Encampment Mall.
  • Games will be played mostly on Saturdays, but depending on numbers we may have to play some midweek games.
  • Teams will be formed from your neighborhood.
  • You may request that siblings/neighbors play together, but they can not cross over age boundaries.
  • Teams formed in the KICKS program can stay together through the competition league, allowing your child to stay with the same organization and team throughout the youth soccer experience.
  • Paid referees for the U10 and U12 age divisions.

X - League ... Bridge between KICKS and the Regional Competition League

  • This league has been created for the U12 age group.
  • Games will be regularly scheduled, and may be in tournament format.
  • Optimal team size will be 8V8.
  • To prepare them for the Regional Competition League, free clinics will be provided to help improve technical ability and confidence.
  • Teams will be encouraged to enter the X-league with a team/coach already in place.
  • Teams will be formed on the coaches request.
  • All games will be played in St. George, at the end of the season teams from Beaver and Cedar City will be invited to play the teams from St. George in a soccer jamboree.

Southern Utah Soccer Association ... Southern Utah's only complete soccer development organization.

  • Southern Utah Soccer Association offers recreation soccer for ages 4 - 11 and competition programs for ages 12 - 18.
  • Southern Utah Soccer Association is unique in the fact that your child can play with his or her friends throughout their youth soccer career.
  • Clubs and Teams can be formed to enhance your child's soccer experience.
  • Your child can start in a recreation program and have the opportunity if they chose to move on to a more competitive form of soccer, while staying in the same organization.
  • Players from 12 - 17 will have the opportunity to tryout for the Olympic Development Program, eventually leading to the US National Teams.
  • Local soccer clinics for players and coaches.
